Spa Day Pre Arrival Information

Arrival - We will be ready to welcome you between 8.30 and 9.30am (10.30 if on the Ragdale Experience Day, 11.00am if on the Late Escape Day or 4.30pm if on the Twilight Taster). A welcoming drink awaits you whilst you register and become familiar with the Hall’s extensive facilities.

Health advice - Please hand in your completed Health Questionnaire on arrival (click on link to download and print). Ragdale Hall is not a medical centre and we suggest you contact your GP if you have any concerns about the suitability of treatments or activities you wish to take advantage of. Should you have a disability, please contact us prior to arrival to discuss your specific needs. Your health questionnaire will be screened on arrival at which time we will issue you with your finalised schedule of appointments.

Guests with allergy concerns are advised to personally check all treatments, activities, facilities, services, products and meals prior to participation. Ragdale Hall do take allergies seriously and will endeavour to assist where possible but our staff are not specialists in the management of allergies or special diets and as such we are unable to guarantee suitability or safety for individuals with particular allergy concerns. Therefore we cannot accept responsibility for illness/injury caused as a result thereof.

Alternatively visit our treatments pages to view, request and compare treatments available.  All treatments should be booked at least 14 days prior to arrival. For further advice or to make bookings please call 01664 433043 (9.00am to 7.00pm – Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 5.00pm – Saturday and Sunday) or fax 01664 433044. Alternatively submit a Treatments Request Form online or print of a Treatments Booking Form and send it into us prior to arrival.  To download a Treatments Pricelist online click here.  If booking an extra treatment which conflicts with a similar treatment within your package our staff will be happy to discuss alternatives, otherwise inclusive treatments cannot be changed. Please always quote your name and reservation number when calling and note that where suitable, treatments may be carried out by either male or female therapists.

What to bring – The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and most guests choose to wear mules or slippers and tracksuits, leisure wear or robes at all times. (Robes are available for hire for only £3.50). Suitable trainers must be worn for all classes and gym sessions and swimsuits are needed for the spa and pool areas – you may want to bring two to save wearing a damp swimsuit later in the day. As it is inappropriate to wear jewellery during treatments we advise you not to bring valuables with you. We are unable to accept responsibility for loss or damage incurred to your personal effects, which should be covered by your own insurance.

Changing facilities – You will be issued with a numbered private locker in one of our changing rooms, which contain an unlimited supply of towels and vanity areas with hair dryers and complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Private changing facilities may be available on the day at an additional charge, subject to availability. 

Insurance – We strongly recommend you consider purchasing holiday insurance which amongst other things provides cover in the event of a cancellation or curtailment.  If you wish to purchase insurance you can contact the following company: Guest First, telephone 0845 9080101, www.guestfirst.co.uk. 

Included within your day is unlimited use of the following facilities (some restrictions apply on The Twilight Taster package):

• Thermal Spa including Candle Pool, Waterfall Pool and a series of unique water and heat experiences
• Two indoor and one outdoor swimming pools
• Spa area with Whirlpool spa, steam room, sanarium and massage jets
• Fully equipped gymnasium with cardio theatre facility
• Mountain bikes, tennis courts, croquet, boules and pitch and putt course
• Beautiful lounges and gardens in which to relax
• A locker and changing rooms with showers, hair dryers and an unlimited supply of towels
• Welcome drink
• A choice of over 18 free exercise and relaxation classes in our two studios
• A choice of 4 water exercise sessions in our separate Exercise Pool
• Healthy three course buffet lunch (excluding Twilight Taster.  Ragdale Experience includes a light lunch in the Verandah Bar) 
• Mind Gym - a unique mental agility room
• Free wifi room

Dining – A three course hot and cold healthy buffet lunch is served in our Dining Room (excluding Ragdale Experience Day and Twilight Taster). Complimentary mineral water is included with all meals and a selection of wines and soft drinks are also available. The Garden Room serves a varied selection of hot and cold drinks and the Verandah Bar offers additional smoothies and light snacks and provides lunch for guests on the Ragdale Experience Day and supper for guests on the Late Escape and Twilight Taster packages.  Please be advised that alcohol is not to be bought to Ragdale Hall.  We offer a comprehensive wine list and limited range of alcoholic beverages and only drinks bought at the Hall can be consumed on site. 

Personal account – Any purchases made during the day can be charged to your personal account by quoting your locker number. Accounts must be settled by 5.30pm prior to departure at 6.00pm (6.30pm for Ragdale Experience Day) or prior to departure if staying for dinner or on the Late Escape and Twilight Taster packages. Payment may be made by Ragdale Hall gift voucher (please hand in on arrival), credit card or cash.  Cheques will only be accepted as payment for any goods or services by prior arrangement and cannot be used for settlement of accounts.  In any event, 20 working days advance clearance will be required.  We believe that guests should be free to make their own decisions regarding gratuities for our staff. Therefore we do not impose an obligatory charge. However for ease and convenience of payment of gratuities all accounts will be subject to an optional charge of 3%, which may be removed or increased upon request. We believe that all our staff, including those behind the scenes, help contribute to the service we provide and therefore, gratuities are distributed evenly.

Please note – Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the building however, there is a designated sheltered area for smokers outside. We also request that mobile phones and laptop computers are not used in any area of the Hall.  We ask you to respect the need for silence in dedicated areas of the Hall.

Making the very most of your day – The following options are available to ensure you gain maximum benefit from your visit to Ragdale Hall.

• Reduced rates for overnight accommodation, either the night of or before your day. (Only bookable seven days prior to arrival)
• Purchase a Ragdale Essentials bag – a useful PVC drawstring bag containing a Ragdale sports water bottle, Ragdale mules, Ragdale gym towel, Ragdale Hall Guide to Healthy Living, post card and Ragdale pen.
• End your day with Champagne and canapes to complete the feeling of pampering and relaxation.
• Book a healthy three course dinner to round off your visit or upgrade your supper on the Late Escape and Twilight Taster packages
