Ragdale Hall in the running for a major business award

Ragdale Hall has been shortlisted as a finalist, this week by the National Business Awards sponsored by Orange.

A spokesperson for Orange commented “This year’s finalists are a stimulating mix of established businesses and new entrepreneurial ventures with a common thread running through them all – resilence and determination to succeed. It is really satisfying that all of those that entered have faith and confidence in their ability to continue to operate to an excellent standard, further feeding the positive messages emerging about an upturn in the economy.

The organisations that entered have a combined revenue of £253bn, employ over one million people and generate profits in excess of over £40bn. And, without exception all entries have an optimistic view of the year ahead.”

Ragdale’s category is ‘Health, Work and Wellbeing’, a subject close to their hearts as this is the very basis of their business. Promoting a healthy lifestyle and good, strong work life balance is at the core of their message to their guests and staff alike. In order to maintain exceptional service levels, Ragdale’s workforce needs to be happy and well trained, as well as feeling cared for – their health and wellbeing are therefore at the heart of the business strategy.

Finalists will now be preparing to make their presentations in person before an independent, expert judging panel later in the month at the offices of Coutts & Co, St Mary Axe (The Gherkin) in London. “To reach the final stage of the UK’s most important business recognition programme is an enormous achievement. It is companies like these, who are bucking the economic trend and delivering excellent results that will benefit most when the upturn finally comes. It will be fascinating to see which companies walk away with the awards in November”.

Winners will be unveiled at a glittering gala award ceremony on 10th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Ragdale Hall employ over 450 staff in thirty varied departments. In recent years they have won Employer of the Year in the Professional Spa Awards and have also been listed in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For.
